Functions such as transaction scheduling and settlement of trades, based on either simple or complex agreements, cannot be performed effectively using manual processes and require a significant level of computational processing and reporting. Optimal short and longer term planning decisions, such as whether to use own generation, utilise the short term energy market or secure longer term contracts, etc. are also virtually impossible without a suitable utility trading solution set.
