DRPro Core
DRPro Core is the backbone of DRPro and handles the end-to-end demand response process flow - from availability, scheduling and dispatching, to measurement and reporting
Manages demand response programmes, customers and aggregator information. Each load provider’s demand response details and constraints are captured and linked to a DRPro aggregation unit.
Captures and conveys demand response load and price for each hour for each customer to the system/network operator at the DRPro aggregated unit level. The system operator provides its demand response requirements and price back to DRPro for implementation. Depending on the type of demand response, the demand response load providers will often be put on standby for dispatch the next day or provided notice to dispatch
Once the system operator/utility notifies the 24/7 DRPro Operations Desk that demand response is required, DRPro disaggregates the request into various demand response load provider dispatches. Various mechanisms, such as an automated voice telephone system, SMS or remote dispatch signal, are used to contact load providers to inform them of the demand response event.
