The Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) Market Trading Platform (MTP) enables the trading of electricity amongst its 12 operating member countries.
This trading platform development project covered the following aspects:
Software technology upgrade to the latest web-based application technologies following best practices.
Development and implementation of a new Market Surveillance module.
Addition of a built-in issue tracking module to enable participants to capture market and trading related queries for the attention of the SAPP CC through a formal and traceable mechanism.
A document management portal which allows the Market Operator to upload documents relevant to participant onto the MTP platform.
