The National Monitoring and Evaluation Centre (NMEC) is a national meter data management database that collects, centrally stores and disseminates electrical metering data for all Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management (EEDSM) projects funded by NERSA through Eskom.

It is a web portal that coordinates the collection of data and official, static reports from various entities. It has a security model that allows for multiple levels of access both within Eskom, multiple external stakeholders (different legal entities), as well as the public.

Users can access official reports as well as request data sets for download. Enerweb designed the database, and assisted with establishing the business processes for data collection.
