The Distribution Meter Data Management system (MDMS) collects, disseminates and stores electrical meter profile data.

It provides Eskom with a view of its customer’s configurations and interval data. The MDMS also implements business rules and provides data quality reporting and management, process scheduling, and mapping management capabilities.

The system interfaces with an Itron headend for the purposes of data collection. Enerweb was responsible for the database design for this project, and assisted with the business process analysis and design.
