Enerweb has been at the forefront of trading and electricity flow information systems since the inception of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).
Enerweb has developed and/or been involved with the implementation of all significant systems in the Southern African Region.
Electricity Trading
- SAPP Day-Ahead-Market System was implemented by Enerweb and NordPool in 2007.
- Established Emissions and Renewable Certificate Trading systems on a pilot basis for Eskom.
- Other initiatives included: NamPower Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) – Electronic Short Term Trading and Decision Support Systems, Risk Management Systems, Metering Data management (MV90) as well as full integration with existing SAP system.
- Risk management, portfolio optimisation, network simulation and power flows, decision support, profit and cash-flow at risk, simulation and management tools.
Electricity Flow Information and Transaction Systems
- Detailed analysis work and scenario planning for the proposed national Power Conservation Program (PCP).
- Development of Eskom’s Energy Allocation Management system in preparation for the implementation of the proposed national Power Conservation Program.
- Established Emissions and Renewable Certificate Trading systems on a pilot basis for Eskom.
- Customer Baseline determination to enable participation in PCP and National Energy Efficiency Tax Rebate Program.
