Bambanani Projects

Bambanani Projects is a Section 21 company involved in assistance programs in rural areas and townships, such as Attridgeville, Botleng, Shoshanguve, Kliptown, Soweto and Eersterus.

Enerweb provides financial assistance to Bambanani, meaning ‘helping hands’ in Zulu, to support Aids orphans from the Refilwe community outside Cullinan.

The orphans range from the ages of 6 to 18 years and are left in the care of volunteers in their communities. The volunteers often don’t have the means to provide food and clothes to the children.  Bambanani donates money and food to the volunteers to help them care for the kids and assure the kids have at least one good meal per day.

Employee Involvement

Enerweb realises the value of involving employees in corporate social activities and has recently launched the Refilwe Outreach programme.

On 12 June 2010 a number of directors, managers and staff of Enerweb met children from the Refilwe community outside Cullinan. Staff played games with the children, handed out food, drinks and sweets, and presented each child and caregiver with a blanket and warm winter jacket.
