Rob's work experience includes co-founder of Enerweb in 1999 and Management of Metering Data Management and Load Research function in Eskom. He started and managed DSM in Eskom, Time-of-Use tariff design (reactive energy component) and implementation. He has over 20 years experience in the electricity industry.

Kobus has over 12 years experience in the electricity industry. His work experience includes load research modelling and analysis, design and building of IEP software and Energy Trading Systems, business and financial management. He was a founding member of Utiliworx (Pty) Ltd in 2006, and established Utiliworx as the leader in delivering specialised IT software, services and systems to the electricity industry before its merger with Enerweb in 2009. Kobus is currently responsible for Smart Grid, the IT Group and Infrastructure at Enerweb.
Pranesh Ramjith

Pranesh’s work experience includes developing, designing and deploying various applications and IT enterprise systems at Enerweb, and business and system analysis at Utiliworx. He has been instrumental in the design and development of the Business Event Notifier currently deployed in various SCADA environments across the country, has worked on the Eskom Data Hub (data warehouse) and was involved in the design and architecture for a Long Term Load Forecasting solution. Pranesh is currently responsible for analysis, design activities and research projects in the Demand Intelligence arm of Enerweb.

Deborah's work experience includes building and managing the Virtual Power Station prototype system being used in Eskom, which currently administers about 800MW's. She also designed the EnerTrack energy monitoring system which has been rolled out to 30 000 Eskom employees. She has experience in the IT and Electricity Pricing Departments in Eskom. She built a model for calculating the sharing of network costs, which is still being used by the Eskom Electricity Pricing department 10 years later. She specialises in project management and has experience across a range of industries and technologies (especially SAP) and has also worked overseas for 7 years. She has 18 years IT systems and projects experience and 8 years utility experience.
Ziyaad Bhyat

Ziyaad has over 8 years experience in the electricity industry. His work experience includes analysis, design and building of MDM software and Energy Trading Systems, and the design and implementation of the Participant Client components of the SAPP Day Ahead Market Trading System implemented in conjunction with Nordpool ASA. He was technical lead in the design and implementation of the Eskom and NamPower Energy Trading Systems. He has worked on the development of MDM solutions for Eskom Distribution. His current responsibilities are Technical and Functional Manager for Meter Data Management at Enerweb.
Kevin M Nassiep

Kevin held various positions at Eskom, including chemist, mathematical scientist and Research Manager, between 1992 and 2003. He was the Chief Director (Energy Planning) at the Department of Minerals and Energy, overseeing directorates comprising energy planning, energy efficiency and renewable energy, from 2003 to 2006. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the South African National Energy Research Institute (SANERI). Kevin is the SA representative on international bodies such as the REN21 Steering Committee, IEA Implementing Agreements and UNEP/RISO Clean Energy Centre – Scientific Advisory Panel.
